Press Release
Entrée proudly presents Fading Forms, a group exhibition with Ida Nissen, Kamilla Langeland, Marthe Elise Stramrud, Eivind Egeland and Christian Tunge. In common they are all trained in photography and have later expanded their respective practices to include collages, sculptures, silk screens, photograms, texts & publications. In the works on view at Entrée, they are all directing the viewers’ perception in seeing their natural or staged arrangements as sculptural compositions.

While still many consider getting face to face with a performance, place or an object the best way to determine its authenticity and its actual existence, when not possible, we sometimes turn to photography for a certificate of truth. As the photographic reliability is inevitably vanishing in our retouched digital era, and lost in outdated formatting, or simply naturally fading away from being exposed to the sunlight – this situation is constantly in flux. This leaves a critical room for doubts when reading photography, and also a room for play which these artists are taking advantage of.

HEAVY Books publishing house will also bring these titles for the opening; Raumflucht with Ida Nissen, Finding Meaningful Patterns in Meaningless Noise with Eivind Egeland, Dropping Layers with Kamilla Langeland, The Games with Christian Tunge. All will be available at Entrée during the course of the exhibition.
